The Senior Insights analyst role sits within the Reporting & Analytics team and supports Personal Bank, Broker, Customer Service Centre and Distribution Operations to deliver Front-line Target support, BAU Tableau Reporting, Reporting Automation and Analytics/Insights.
The Senior Insights Analyst is responsible for supporting the wider Personal and Business Banking Team and the wider Bankwest leadership team through the creation and provision of reporting.
This role will utilise your reporting experience and banking knowledge to support our key stakeholders in delivering ‘What Matters’ most to them, and to our customers through delivering of BAU reporting, targets maintenance and data provisioning.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager Reporting and Analytics the role involves:
Develop reports in Tableau
Use SQL to prepare adhoc data extracts
Develop Python scripts to populate data sources used in Tableau reports
Support the team if required with BAU reporting, regulatory reporting and other reporting assignments as required
Identify opportunities for reporting optimisation and improvement
Work with various internal stakeholders to help formulate and scope business problems
Ensure a continuous improvement (CI) culture by supporting management to embed our productivity minimum habits and to lead and support CI activities within team with clear tangible and measurable outputs.
Deliver timely and accurate reporting outputs.
Pro-actively identify potential pain points and issues in a timely fashion.
Prepare supporting data extracts in response to report requests in a time-sensitive and quality-driven way.
We want to hear from you if you have:
Tertiary qualification in analytics or a relevant discipline
Proficient to expert skills in Tableau, SQL and Python
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Good communication skills and stakeholder management
High problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
Basic understanding of SAS or SSIS (preferrable)
Knowledge of the Banking Industry (desirable)
