SES is seeking a visionary and experiences Information Technology Leader who thrives on defining and executing strategic technology solutions to meet complex business challenges. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership:
- Partner with senior executives and department heads to establish and execute a strategic multi-year technology roadmap that addresses capability gaps, enables rapid growth, and fully aligns with business goals.
- Acts as primary point of contact and strategic partner with senior stakeholders regarding all technology and technology-related decisions.
- Coordinate the IT onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees and provide strategic oversight of on-site IT support for specialized areas (e.g., laboratory systems, conference rooms).
Project & Financial Management
- Partner with senior executives and department heads to establish and execute a strategic multi-year technology roadmap that addresses capability gaps, enables rapid growth, and fully aligns with business goals.
- Acts as primary point of contact and strategic partner with senior stakeholders regarding all technology and technology-related decisions.
- Coordinate the IT onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees and provide strategic oversight of on-site IT support for specialized areas (e.g., laboratory systems, conference rooms).
- Perform Korea drive Integration with M365-related systems (e.g., MS Teams)
Security & Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a robust enterprise-wide Information Security and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Program (DRP/BCP).
- Strategically managing the company’s cybersecurity exposure by overseeing collaboration with third-party cybersecurity vendors and implementing protective controls.
- Ensure the security and protection of all systems and data through required controls, including automated backups validated patch cycles (Operating System Updates, air-gapped systems), anti-virus software, and strict access protocols.
- Manage and maintain technical documentation and evidence required for internal and external SOX audits.
- Validate and ensure the continued operational compliance of business systems/solutions supporting routine business functions, including Sales, Operations, and Administration.
- Manage detailed control items such as group transfers and exception handling in the Security (Sentinel One) System.
- Manage detailed control items in the Account Management System (e.g., MFA).
Operations & Infrastructure
- Own and oversee all system administration functions for various business systems, ensuring required integration, secure remote access capabilities, and overall system compatibility across the organization.
- Manage, maintain and ensure the validation and deployment of Virtual Machines (VMs) on Hypervisor to support critical data and lab equipment needs.
- Oversee the daily monitoring and operations of business applications and infrastructure, proactively providing ongoing support and maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.
- Manage the first-line IT support function for all global users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all support tickets.
- Author and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all IT systems.
- Manage account management and permission granting in the Remote (Ninja) System.
- Manage account management and detailed control items in the Ticket (Fresh Service) System.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and lead the US, Korea, and China IT team (Total 3), driving performance, development, and alignment with organizational goals.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a direct managerial or supervisory capacity overseeing IT infrastructure, applications, and support staff, including experience with multi-site or global teams.
- Proven, in-depth technical expertise managing and securing enterprise infrastructure, including mastery of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 (administration and security), AWS and/or Azure environments, and diverse end-user operating systems (Windows OS, mac OS/iOS).
- Strong background in the governance and lifecycle management of enterprise software, hardware, and server systems, including backup, recovery, patching, and asset management.
- Proven ability to strategically multi-task and prioritize complex projects and critical operational needs under fixed schedules and in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms for senior executives and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and managing IT General Controls (ITGCs) and supporting SOX compliance efforts, particularly related to user access, change management, and audit readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Competency in Mandarin or Korean is a plus (but not required), given the management of teams/operations in these regions.
