Job Title
Senior Implementations Advisor, Merchant Fraud Products
About your role:
We’re looking for a Senior Implementations Advisor to lead complex client implementations of merchant fraud products. In this role, you’ll partner with internal teams and client stakeholders to plan, execute, and deliver implementations that meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations, while helping clients adopt capabilities that reduce fraud risk and improve operational outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Lead end-to-end implementation delivery for merchant fraud products, including discovery, requirements, configuration, testing, implementation, and transition.
- Serve as the primary implementation point of contact for client stakeholders, coordinating deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Risk/Fraud SMEs, and other support teams to drive issue resolution and keep delivery on track.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts (implementation plan, RAID log, status reporting, test plans, cutover plan, training/adoption materials).
- Validate data mapping and integration requirements (as applicable), and coordinate technical activities across client and internal teams.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution; ensure defects are tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
- Manage change control and scope governance; communicate trade-offs and recommendations in a straightforward way.
- Support client readiness activities, including operational procedures, fraud/risk workflow alignment, and go-live criteria.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by refining implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices for merchant fraud deployments.
- Mentor junior implementation team members and provide delivery leadership on complex engagements.
- Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military.
- 7+ years of experience in client implementations, onboarding, or professional services for SaaS, payments, risk, or fraud solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional implementations with external clients.
- Strong project management skills (planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and executive-ready communication).
- Working knowledge of merchant fraud concepts (e.g., chargebacks, dispute workflows, rules/thresholds, identity and transaction risk signals).
- Experience coordinating technical workstreams (APIs/integrations, data exchange, testing, environments), even if not hands-on coding.
- Proven experience managing schedules, funding, and prioritization for fraud-related projects, including delivery of medium-sized or complex initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with leadership, clients, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while navigating ambiguity with strategic focus and follow-through.
- A self-starter mindset with a track record of independently resolving issues and driving results.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience implementing fraud tools in merchant acquiring, gateways, e-commerce, or card-not-present environments.
- Familiarity with chargeback/dispute ecosystems and operational processes.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, or equivalent).
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
