Job Description
Old Mutual Zimbabwe invites applications from seasoned ICT Audit professionals with the technical depth and industry insight to support assurance activities within Banking and Investments.
The role ensures the timely delivery of strategic audit engagements, risk insights, and assurance reports aligned to Group Internal Audit standards. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders to influence the control environment and strengthen operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the development of the portfolio audit plan, maintaining the audit universe, and identifying emerging ICT risks.
- Executing audit engagements and management-request reviews within agreed timelines.
- Enhancing awareness of emerging ICT trends and risks across supported portfolios.
- Ensuring audits are delivered in line with Group Internal Audit (GIA) methodologies and quality standards.
- Producing impactful audit reports with clear, actionable management recommendations.
- Facilitating agreement of audit findings and ratings with relevant stakeholders.
- Analysing root causes of identified issues and recommending sustainable control improvements.
- Executing issues assurance activities timeously and to required quality levels.
- Supporting Audit Managers with stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Leading and guiding junior auditors while contributing to monthly reporting through engagement with line 1 and line 2 assurance teams.
- Complying with the IIA Code of Ethics and GIA policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM certification is required.
- Qualification in Python, PowerBI, or SQL.
- CIA certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in IT Audit, Change Audit, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience in data analytics is required.
- Proven experience conducting full audit cycles from planning to reporting.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, methodologies, and professional practices.
- Experience in the banking, insurance, or investment sectors is an advantage.
- Experience managing projects or leading teams is beneficial.
