The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) — Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Human Resources (HR) team is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to serve as a strategic HR business partner to Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials Management leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative team that plays a critical role in program delivery and BDS success.
As a senior HR leader, you will be the principal business partner and trusted advisor to the Manufacturing Vice President of MS&B, providing guidance across talent management, employee engagement, and organizational culture. You will lead a HR team responsible for the HR execution supporting the Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials Management organizations and ensure HR strategies are aligned with program and business objectives. In addition, this position will also collaborate extensively with senior HR counterparts across Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) to design and deploy integrated, enterprise talent solutions. In addition, this role will be responsible for partnering with the San Antonio and Puget Sound site HR leaders.
This position will also be a key member of the BDS Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials Management Functional HR leadership team, ensuring the function meets and anticipates the evolving business needs.
This role requires strong leadership in a complex, matrixed environment, excellent cross‑functional partnership skills, and a track record of driving measurable business outcomes through an engaged, high-performing HR team.
This position allows the selected candidate to be based in either Tukwila, WA, Everett, WA or San Antonio TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide executive-level counsel and strategic HR guidance to MS&B Manufacturing leadership and exercise HR oversight for Quality, and Materials Management, influencing key business decisions
Represent MS&B within the BDS Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials Management HR functional team, and partner with BCA and BGS counterparts to lead deployment of enterprise HR processes and tools with an emphasis on advancing talent management capabilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Partner with Puget Sound and San Antonio HR site leaders, enhancing HR presence, local engagement, and operational workforce support
Develop and drive comprehensive talent strategies including workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and internal mobility to meet current and future business requirements
Build and sustain a diverse and inclusive leadership pipeline through targeted development initiatives aligned to business growth and capability needs
Design and implement a tailored people strategy to enhance workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational culture, and employee experience
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and program HR partners to ensure strategic alignment and deliver integrated, enterprise HR solutions
Use data and metrics to measure HR program impact, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement
This position requires domestic travel of 20-40%.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of leadership experience, including formal management roles; demonstrated capability to lead and influence teams both formally and informally
5+ years of experience working in a business environment partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders
5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions
5+ years of experience articulating and implementing strategy-to-action plans
5+ years of experience in a role that required project management skills
5+ years of experience analyzing data and metrics to identify future organization needs
BDS HR requires experience in formal leadership for Sr. Manager roles; exceptions are granted on a limited basis.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
5+ years of experience developing and driving strategies with leadership teams
Experience leading/managing direct reports
Excellent verbal written and presentation skills, high-impact communication style
