Job Description:
We are looking for a highly strategic and commercially driven Senior HR Business Partner with extensive experience in the media/advertising industry. This role is suited for a seasoned HR leader who has operated within complex, fast-paced agency environments and has a proven track record in partnering with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and business growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in supporting media functions (Planning, Buying, Performance, Strategy, Digital, Creative integration) and has played a key role in scaling teams, optimizing structures, and enabling high-performing organizations across multiple markets.
As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will lead on aligning people strategy with business objectives, driving transformation initiatives, and building scalable HR frameworks that support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to Managing Directors, Business Directors, and senior leadership teams on all people-related matters
- Shape and drive the HR agenda in alignment with business strategy, growth plans, and market expansion
- Influence leadership decision-making through data-driven insights and commercial understanding
- Lead workforce planning, org design, and restructuring initiatives across media functions
- Identify capability gaps and build talent strategies to support business objectives
- Drive succession planning for critical roles and leadership pipelines
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to define and execute hiring strategies for complex and senior roles
- Lead talent mapping initiatives across key markets
- Oversee leadership development, career progression frameworks, and high-potential programs
- Support new business wins, account launches, and expansion into new markets
- Lead HR workstreams in scaling operations, building new teams, and optimizing cost structures
- Develop and implement scalable HR frameworks, policies, and processes suited for agency growth
- Own and drive performance management cycles, including calibration and talent reviews
- Coach senior managers and leaders on performance, leadership effectiveness, and team development
- Drive a high-performance, accountability-driven culture aligned with agency values
- Lead complex employee relations cases, including conflict resolution, restructuring, and disciplinary processes
- Ensure compliance with local and regional labor laws across multiple markets
- Provide risk mitigation strategies and ensure best practices in HR governance
- Oversee compensation strategy, salary benchmarking, and benefits alignment for media roles
- Leverage HR data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure impact of HR initiatives
- Support audits and ensure accuracy of HR documentation and processes
Requirements
- 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong track record as an HR Business Partner in agency environments
- Mandatory experience within Media / Advertising / Digital Agency
- Proven experience partnering with senior leadership (Director level and above)
- Strong understanding of media agency structures and functions (Planning, Buying, Performance, Strategy, Creative integration)
- Demonstrated experience in organizational design, scaling teams, and transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting multi-market or regional setups (MENA exposure is essential)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link HR strategy to business performance
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Extensive experience in performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance across relevant markets
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic actions
- Resilient, proactive, and solution-oriented with strong leadership presence
