As a Senior Fraud and Financial Abuse Security Risk Analyst on the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team (GRC) team, you will support the proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of fraud, cybercrime, Roblox economy manipulation,  money laundering and risk of other financial abuses.This role is critical to safeguarding Roblox’s interests, reputation, and long-term success. By implementing robust risk management strategies and encouraging collaborative partnerships with relationship owners across Roblox, you can effectively navigate the complexities of this space to ensure a “right-sized” security risk for Roblox. This role will report to the GRC Manager.

You will:

  • Be a key contributor to the GRC team within the larger Information Security Organization (InfoSec).
  • Integrate your knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and fraud/financial crime/AML programs to identify and implement security engineering solutions.
  • Partner with your GRC, Security,  Engineering, Product, and Trust & Safety colleagues to support the design and implementation of a “risk first” Fraud and Financial abuse that is “right-sized” for Roblox and takes a “security first” point of view.
  • Lead design and implementation of the focused Fraud and Financial Abuse Risk Management program within the broader Information Security Organization.
  • Find opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, crafting tools and automations along the way to drive security and compliance by design.
  • Be a subject matter expert in cybersecurity, risk management, and financial abuses/fraud, providing education and mentorship to others across the Roblox organization.
  • Engage crossfunctionally with the Engineering, Product, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Trust and Safety, and Finance teams.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, risk management, cybercrime, financial crimes, anti-money laundering or other related experience.
  • Experience with identifying or assessing fraud, financial crime, cybercrime and money laundering risk AND cybersecurity risk in a tech or fintech environment.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineers to identify, assess, and mitigate information security gaps, concerns, and weaknesses.
  • Deep understanding of the cybercrime and anti-money laundering space and how to educate organizations on these concepts. Ability to build policies, procedures, standards and other documentation in this space.
  • Understanding of security concepts and a broad range of security risks and controls.
  • Experience in tech; however the need to actively code is not required for the role, just the ability to collaborate with Engineers and quickly establish credibility.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$223,210$270,380 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
