Team mission
Our FP&A team is all about empowering sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and data-driven insights, as a trusted business partner. As a key member of this team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our strategy, leading planning efforts, and influencing critical financial decisions that propel our company toward its objectives.
Responsibilities
Based in our Berlin headquarters and reporting directly to the Head of Operations FP&A, you will partner with the Operations team, overseen by our COO & Co-Founder, which encompasses our Sales & Supply and Customer Care organisations. Your role is to facilitate timely and effective decision-making processes. You should be analytically and strategically sharp, focused on results, and capable of providing clear, concise recommendations crucial for the company's success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Insight Generation: Develop actionable, data-driven insights that challenge and elevate the Sales & Supply team's approach to onboarding the most sought-after tours and activities, driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
- Metrics Analysis and Reporting: Define, monitor, and analyze key financial and operational metrics in a high-growth environment. Build adaptable reporting frameworks and dashboards to meet evolving business needs, ensuring leadership has timely insights to guide strategic decisions and optimize performance.
- Customer Satisfaction Enhancement: Partner with the Customer Care team to analyze KPIs and deliver concrete insights, aiming to significantly enhance customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiency and cost targets.
- Business Partnering: Partner with Operations teams to provide financial guidance and support for evolving business priorities. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align operational expenditures and financial strategies with company objectives.
- Planning and Forecasting: Lead the forecasting process to deliver business-owned budgets and forecasts that adapt to changing business needs. Drive innovation in business planning and forecasting by identifying key metric drivers and streamlining processes, enhancing overall business agility and foresight.
- Investment Strategy: Evaluate investment opportunities independently, creating robust business cases. Identify and articulate necessary trade-offs to inform strategic financial planning and resource allocation.
Your Profile
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience and qualifications in FP&A, strategy, consulting, or a similar field within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. Experience in a senior or leadership capacity is beneficial.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset, leveraging data-driven insights and robust business acumen to influence key business decisions and drive organizational impact.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven mindset, with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Collaboration: A proactive and collaborative approach to driving work forward, with a focus on fostering teamwork and achieving impactful results in dynamic environments.
- Personal Attributes: Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for problem-solving. Comfort with ambiguity and openness to learning new tools and approaches as the role evolves.
- Technical Skills: Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture and database querying (e.g., SQL) preferred. Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and financial modeling, with experience in ERP or CPM systems highly beneficial.
