Senior FP&A Analyst

This newly created Senior Financial Analyst role at company headquarters will report directly to the Sr Finance Analyst. The primary responsibilities will focus on operating expense (OPEX) management and analysis, partnering closely with functional teams to deliver insights that improve cost efficiency, resource allocation, and operational performance.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. The candidate will be expected to think critically, provide actionable recommendations, and support initiatives that drive expense optimization and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include the following as well as other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze, model, and communicate OPEX trends and cost drivers to support business decisions.

  • Partner with management to make informed decisions through detailed expense analysis.

  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations; compile and consolidate expense forecasts and budgets, providing insights to management.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs through data-driven analysis.

  • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of expense forecasts and plans.

  • Leverage technology and tools to enhance expense tracking, reporting, and decision-making.

  • Participate in projects requiring strong financial modeling and cost management skills.

  • Use strong organizational skills to manage priorities, complete tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Support process standardization and implement best practices for expense management.

  • Seek and implement continuous improvement ideas to optimize operating costs.

  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc expense reporting as needed.

 

Education and Experience:

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration (Finance preferred).

  • 4+ years of financial planning and analysis experience with a publicly traded company; preferably in the medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, performance and deadline driven environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking, change management, facilitation, and interpersonal effectiveness

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships and communication skills required for business partnering. 

 

Preferred Skills and Competencies:         

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS suite of tools, including Advanced MS Excel and financial modeling skills required.

  • Experience with finance applications such as Hyperion suite and Microsoft Dynamics AX

  • High standards for quality with strong attention to detail. 

  • Ability to present data to members of senior leadership.
