Senior FP&A Analyst - Contract 6 to 9 months

Job Purpose:  

As a Senior Financial Analyst reporting to the Team Lead, FP&A, you will work closely with the FP&A COE and functional leaders to provide FP&A support and business partnership. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple countries in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate, review, and analyze monthly business performance and financial results for the APJ region (across multiple countries and business units), highlighting key drivers and trends and delivering the monthly management report.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting, including variance analysis (YoY and forecast/budget comparisons) and clear commentary on drivers and risks.
  • Support rolling forecasts and the annual budget cycle, including planning, challenge sessions, and monitoring of functional OPEX against targets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to APJ FP&A, Corporate FP&A, and functional leaders, proactively flagging opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary finance partner to the business, coordinating with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and resolve finance-related queries.
  • Partner with the FP&A COE (Malaysia), in-country finance teams, and Corporate FP&A to align assumptions, targets, and KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A reporting and insight generation by developing recurring reporting packs/dashboards, streamlining workflows through standardization and automation, and supporting the rollout of new reporting tools and systems.

  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with SAP, BW, TM1, and Power BI is a plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a multinational (MNC) environment.
  • Experience in the IT distribution industry is a plus.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in FP&A business partnering, with curiosity to understand the business and identify how FP&A can add value.
  • Strong financial discipline, strategic thinking, and a commercial mindset.
  • Strong sense of ownership, positive working attitude, and effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong team player with problem-solving skills and a self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
