Senior Financial Reporting Specialist – Corporate Sundry (GSK Finance Hub)

An exciting opportunity to join our Regional Finance Hub team in Poznan and be part of a global network of regional Finance hubs responsible for Planning & Reporting and Close & Control activities as well as more complex accounting activities.

The teams in the regional Finance hubs will work together to share best practice and knowledge working closely with our HQ Finance teams in London.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist who will join Corporate Specialist Accounting Team and manage Corporate Sundry actuals, planning and forecasting of costs which by their nature may be difficult to allocate to a specific business unit, or costs that have been incurred centrally and require recharging to the business. Corporate Sundry costs include pensions, long-term incentives, insurance, benefits, central projects and many others.

Your responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and forecasting – Lead annual and periodic planning processes for the market, including the Yearly Plan, Mid-Year Estimate, Forecast and quarterly estimates. Consolidate costs inputs, analyse variances versus prior estimates and prepare submissions to Group FP&A. Load the approved plans and forecasts into the Group planning system (SAC - SAP Analytics Cloud).

  • Actuals reporting - Prepare cost analyses, review balance sheet movements and produce month‑end reports for stakeholders and management.

  • Month‑end close — Support month‑end close activities, including calculating and posting accruals and prepayments, and reconciling assigned accounts in accordance with SOX requirements and IFRS.

  • Finance partnering for the Insurance team: support the Finance Director with insurance actuals and forecast analysis. Prepare cost-allocation calculations and models to support insurance-related reporting and planning.

  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders in the Business, Markets, Regions and Corporate Finance teams on all aspects of reporting. Present findings and recommendations to support business decisions.

  • Compliance and control - execute internal SOX controls for the assigned area and ensure compliance with corporate standards. Provide required documentation for internal control reviews and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit or controlling.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Fluent English both written and spoken (minimum C1).

  • Knowledge of Power Query.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Experience with SAP (FI module) is beneficial.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Experience of working in a corporate environment.

  • Excellent communication.

  • Outside of the box thinking and problem-solving skills.

Working model
This role is hybrid. You will be expected to work from our Poland office regularly and be available for in-person collaboration.

The annual base salary in Poland for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 127,500 to PLN 212,500 gross, taking into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All statutory benefits will be maintained in accordance with Polish law. Other benefits may also be offered, which may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan and fully paid parental leave & care of family member leave.
