The Senior Fincancial Controller will be a strategic finance leader within the Technology and Operations Delivery (TxOD) division, based in India and reporting to the CFO/Head of Finance for TxOD. This role will serve as a senior business partner to the TxOD leadership team, providing financial leadership, strategic insights, and commercial guidance to drive business performance and enable informed decision-making across the division.

The Senior Financial Controller will lead the finance function for TxOD in India, managing a team of finance professionals and establishing the region as a centre of excellence for financial planning, analysis, and reporting. They will be responsible for developing robust financial strategies that support the division's growth objectives while ensuring strong financial governance and operational efficiency.

As a key member of the TxOD finance leadership team, the Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving performance management, and influencing critical business decisions. They will translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights, enabling senior leadership to optimize resource allocation, evaluate investment opportunities, and enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the TxOD leadership team, providing financial expertise and commercial insights to support business strategy and decision-making

  • Partner with senior operational leaders to understand business challenges and opportunities, developing financial solutions that drive growth and operational excellence

  • Lead the development of the division's financial strategy, aligning with broader organizational objectives and growth ambitions

  • Provide constructive challenge on business initiatives and investment proposals, ensuring financial discipline while enabling innovation

  • Represent the finance function in senior leadership forums and strategic planning sessions

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the end-to-end financial planning process for TxOD in India, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

  • Develop sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business opportunities

  • Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

  • Prepare comprehensive financial analysis and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Establish financial performance targets and KPIs that align with strategic objectives and drive accountability

Business Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance management frameworks that enable effective monitoring and management of business performance

  • Lead financial reviews with business stakeholders, facilitating data-driven discussions on performance improvement and strategic initiatives

  • Analyze business unit and project-level profitability, identifying opportunities to optimize margins and drive value creation

  • Monitor key business metrics and provide regular performance commentary to leadership, with actionable recommendations

  • Drive a culture of financial awareness and accountability across the organization

Commercial & Investment Analysis

  • Lead the financial evaluation of strategic investments, new client opportunities, M&A activities, and major business initiatives

  • Develop comprehensive business cases with detailed financial modeling, risk assessment, and return on investment analysis

  • Provide commercial guidance on pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and deal structures

  • Support revenue optimization initiatives and ensure proper application of revenue recognition principles

  • Evaluate make-vs-buy decisions and vendor partnerships from a financial perspective

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and develop team members' technical and professional capabilities

  • Optimize team structure and resource allocation to meet evolving business needs

  • Drive employee engagement and retention within the finance function

Process Excellence & Governance

  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and mitigate risk

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with the global FNZ Finance function to implement standardized practices and support group-wide initiatives

  • Champion best practices in financial management and establish India as a centre of excellence

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders across TxOD and the broader FNZ organization

  • Partner effectively with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing

  • Engage with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required

  • Communicate complex financial information effectively to diverse audiences, including non-finance stakeholders
