Provides senior‑level financial leadership and strategic decision support across enterprise initiatives, technology organizations, and capital investment programs. Acts as a trusted finance partner to executive leadership, owning complex financial analyses, investment governance, forecasting, and performance management. Operates with significant autonomy and influences long‑term financial strategy, resource allocation, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as a primary finance advisor to senior and executive management, delivering insight‑driven recommendations that inform strategic, operational, and investment decisions.
- Lead enterprise‑level financial planning activities, including annual planning, long‑range forecasting, and scenario modeling.
- Translate complex financial and statistical data into clear, actionable insights for leadership audiences.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Own end‑to‑end budgeting and forecasting processes for large, complex portfolios, including both operating and capital expenditures.
- Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying drivers, risks, and opportunities, and proactively recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure forecast accuracy and financial integrity through rigorous analysis and continuous improvement of assumptions and methodologies.
- Participate in month‑end close activities, including general ledger review and reconciliation, providing clear explanations of results versus forecast.
Capital & Investment Management
- Provide financial oversight for major development, technology, and capital programs from initial business case through ongoing reporting and performance tracking.
- Lead preparation of investment proposals, funding requests, and approval materials for executive and governance forums.
- Own quarterly and annual capital investment reporting, highlighting performance trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Establish and maintain financial controls, standards, and governance processes for capital and expense management.
Advanced Analytics & Financial Modeling
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated financial models, forecasting tools, and analytical frameworks used in strategic decision‑making.
- Conduct ad hoc and custom financial analyses, peer group benchmarking, and internal consulting engagements across multiple levels of the organization.
- Research, identify, and resolve complex data issues within financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of outputs.
Business Partnership & Influence
- Partner closely with technology, development, accounting, and FP&A teams to align financial strategy with operational execution.
- Influence decision‑making across cross‑functional teams without direct authority through strong business acumen and financial insight.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial transparency, reporting effectiveness, and analytics capabilities.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Mentor and coach analysts and senior analysts, setting expectations for analytical rigor, modeling standards, and executive‑level communication.
- Review and elevate the quality of financial analyses and management presentations produced by the team.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and standards across the finance function.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically six or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
- Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- Strong technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools
- Master's degree preferred

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
