Univision is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst who is detail-oriented, strategically focused, and intellectually curious to support the continued growth of our business. This role is responsible for supporting month- and year-end close processes, financial planning and forecasting, account analysis, and a variety of ad hoc financial initiatives.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities while consistently delivering high-quality results. They are able to work independently, analyze complex data sets, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to drive results and improve processes are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate clear thinking, strong quantitative and analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
• Oversee month-end close activities, monthly forecasting, and the annual budgeting process
• Prepare content acquisition rights schedules and maintain monthly forecast updates
• Develop Programming & Entertainment cash flow schedules and update forecasts on a monthly basis
• Support the preparation of monthly operational review materials
• Prepare balance sheet analyses for monthly review and quarterly variance (flux) reporting
• Produce quarterly deliverables and management reports
• Manage revenue streams related to royalties and talent licensing agreements
• Prepare and process quarterly music royalty payouts
• Prepare and submit billing requests for assigned projects
• Partner with the operations team to coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely processing
• Perform additional responsibilities and ad hoc projects as assigned by department leadership
YOU HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Previous work experience in Entertainment or Media industry is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Office program (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Preferred knowledge of Oracle applications (PBCS)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify issues and solve problems effectively
• Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated success with systems and data visualization tools
• Must be able to work well independently and take ownership of projects
