Position Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a strategic finance partner responsible for delivering advanced financial analysis, data-driven insights, and performance reporting to support executive decision-making. This role blends traditional FP&A responsibilities with strong data analytics capabilities, leveraging large datasets, automation, and visualization tools to drive business performance and improve forecasting accuracy.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically skilled, and comfortable translating complex financial and operational data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes
• Develop dynamic financial models integrating operational and financial data
• Perform advanced variance analysis and trend analysis across large datasets
• Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Partner with data teams to improve data integrity, reporting accuracy, and KPI standardization
• Conduct scenario modeling, predictive analysis, and sensitivity analysis
• Analyze revenue drivers, cost structures, and profitability trends to identify performance opportunities
• Support strategic initiatives through ROI modeling and business case development
• Utilize SQL, data extraction tools, or financial systems to pull and manipulate data
• Drive process automation and continuous improvement in reporting and forecasting workflows
• Prepare executive-level insights and board-ready presentations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or business analytics
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, Power Query, pivot tables, macros)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools
• Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles
• Ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, strategic recommendations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
