We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Manager Financial Planning and Reporting. This role will report to the Executive Manager Financial Planning and Reporting.
A bit about your role
As the Manager Financial Planning and Reporting, you will play a crucial role within the finance team, supporting high‑quality financial reporting, planning and insights at the enterprise level, to enable confident decision‑making at the most senior levels of the organisation. You will provide clear, accurate and timely reporting to a wide range of stakeholders, including the Executive Committee, Board, and Shareholder Departments, operating within a cadence of tight reporting deadlines. Your work will help ensure transparency, trust and a single source of truth across all management reporting.
In this role, you will support a broad portfolio of financial planning and reporting activities, including month‑end management reporting, the annual Budget and Integrated Operating Plan cycle, and regular forecast updates. You will combine strong analytical and commercial capability with thoughtful written communication, translating complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives, highlighting key variances to budget and recommending actions to address the issues. Through insightful analysis and well‑crafted presentations, you will influence strategic direction and contribute meaningfully to nbn’s long‑term goals, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, clarity and professionalism.
A bit about you
You bring strong experience in board and management reporting, with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality outputs for executive and board‑level audiences. You are confident preparing and presenting commentary for senior leaders, and a background in consulting or financial planning, analysis and reporting will be highly regarded. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you take pride in the accuracy of your numbers, calculations and written materials, even when working under pressure and managing multiple critical deadlines.
You are calm, resilient and organised, with the ability to maintain momentum in a fast‑paced environment with a demanding reporting rhythm. You collaborate openly with stakeholders, applying sound commercial judgement and a growth mindset that reflects your aspiration to take on broader leadership opportunities over time.
