Senior Financial Analyst

Dematic has an immediate need for a Sr. Financial Analyst at our Grand Rapids, MI location. This position will report directly to the Vice President Finance, LSS and will have regular interaction with both finance team members and the wider sales and execution organization. The role will further enhance and develop the FP&A area. Primary responsibilities will include preparation of consolidated monthly reporting and analysis of the LSS results.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $92,625 - $135,850 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Review monthly project financial results and prepare variance analysis and commentary (vs forecast / budget)
  • Support the LSS team by providing financial metrics and information in support of North American initiatives
  • Prepare monthly presentations of both recurring and ad-hoc nature related to business performance and results
  • Analyze functional KPI’s and provide recommendations to drive performance improvement across the group
  • Validate project margins and ensure project financials are reflected accurately
  • Add value to the finance function through the identification and implementation of process improvements; streamlined reporting, automation opportunities, etc.
  • Provide proactive analysis and insights above and beyond regular responsibilities.
  • Develop annual budgets, and STRAP planning while providing analysis for spend variances
  • Establish strong relationships with the regional FP&A and operations finance teams to ensure transparency and timely reporting within the region
  • Support all Financial reporting for LSS

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years’ of directly applicable experience in Finance, Project Controlling or Project Accounting
  • Experience in extracting data from various tools (EPM’s/ERP’s) and using data as building blocks for reporting and modeling with Power BI
  • Financial modelling, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Track record showing ability to identify areas of opportunity where additional analysis can lead to more informed business decisions
