The Senior Finance Analyst – Decision Support will play a key role in delivering the BTCS Decision Support function, leading financial analysis and decision support activities across BTCS FP&A.

Reporting directly to the BTCS Decision Support Director, this role will act as a key finance partner to the Product Management organization, driving high-quality insight, governance and business case support. The individual will take ownership of governance processes, including eCAR creation, and will partner across Technology and FP&A teams to obtain comprehensive infrastructure insights by facility and vendor.

The role will also support strategic initiatives, including Project Cicada integration, and will help strengthen planning, reporting, investment governance and performance management across the organization.

Key Tasks:

  • Drive core activities of the BTCS Decision Support function, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful financial support to business stakeholders.

  • Act as the key finance partner to the Product Management organisation, supporting decision making, prioritisation and performance tracking.

  • Own and manage governance processes for investment and spend approvals, including eCAR creation and tracking.

  • Partner with Technology, BTCS and FP&A stakeholders to develop comprehensive reporting and insights on infrastructure costs by facility and vendor.

  • Support financial planning, forecasting and reporting for infrastructure, product and investment-related spend.

  • Provide robust financial analysis and challenge on business cases, capital appropriation requests and strategic initiatives.

  • Support delivery of Project Cicada integration, including reporting alignment, tracking and financial insight.

  • Lead analysis across key business areas including:

    • Sales, Pipeline Coverage and Risks

    • Churn, Retention and Net New Business Reporting by Region and Product

    • Headcount Utilisation and Costs

    • Infrastructure Costs by Colocation, Facility and Vendor

  • Improve and automate reporting, models and dashboards to enhance insight and efficiency.

  • Build and maintain advanced financial models and support dashboard development in Excel and Power BI.

  • Work with Consolidations Finance, Commercial Finance, Technology FP&A and other internal stakeholders to ensure consistent reporting and aligned assumptions.

  • Support the monthly close, forecast and budget cycles through high-quality analysis and commentary.

  • Prepare materials and insights for senior management reviews and decision forums.

  • Contribute to implementation of improved systems, processes and controls across BTCS FP&A.

  • Mentor more junior team members and support development of analytical best practice within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded, analytically strong finance professional with experience partnering senior stakeholders and leading decision support activity in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate would need to demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, decision support or business partnering roles.

  • Proven ability to work closely with senior business stakeholders, ideally within Product, Technology or infrastructure-related teams.

  • Experience developing business cases, supporting governance forums and managing approval processes such as eCARs or equivalent.

  • Strong financial modelling capability and advanced Excel skills, including complex lookups, pivots and large dataset analysis.

  • Experience using Power BI to create insightful and user-friendly dashboards.

  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear business insight and recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of planning, forecasting, variance analysis and performance reporting.

  • Experience working with infrastructure cost analysis, vendor spend or technology investment tracking is highly desirable.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive outputs independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence working across finance and non-finance audiences.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with interest in automation, controls and process enhancement.

  • Accounting qualification or equivalent relevant experience preferred.

  • Experience supporting integration or transformation programmes would be advantageous, including exposure to Project Cicada-related activities if applicable.
