We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Senior Manager to help lead engagements within our Asset Management practice in the Finance Effectiveness team. This role is ideal for a consulting professional with hands-on experience in asset management finance who is ready to own workstreams, manage client relationships, and deliver day-to-day execution on transformation initiatives. You will advise finance leaders at asset management firms on how to optimize their finance functions and support the development of a high-impact practice serving private equity, hedge fund, and alternative investment clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client workstreams focused on finance transformation for asset management firms, including operating model assessment, fund accounting process improvement, and financial reporting redesign.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to finance executives at private equity, hedge fund, and alternative asset management firms, helping define transformation roadmaps and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Oversee day-to-day client delivery including project planning, stakeholder management, workstream execution, and quality assurance across asset management finance initiatives.
- Support design and implementation of enabling technologies relevant to asset management finance, including ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, NetSuite), fund accounting systems (e.g., Advent Geneva, SS&C Advent, Investran), and analytics solutions.
- Manage and mentor consultants and managers on the engagement team, fostering skill development in both asset management domain knowledge and consulting delivery.
- Collaborate across CFGI service lines (e.g., accounting advisory, ERP, data & analytics) to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions for asset management clients.
- Participate in business development activities including proposal development, client workshops, and thought leadership, contributing to the growth of the Asset Management practice.
What We’re Looking For:
- Eight plus years of experience in finance transformation or consulting, with meaningful exposure to asset management, private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; prior Big4 or professional services/consulting experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of asset management finance operations, including fund accounting, NAV reporting, investor reporting, management company finance, and treasury processes.
- Working knowledge of enabling technologies relevant to asset management finance, including ERP systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite), fund accounting platforms (e.g., Advent Geneva, SS&C Advent, Investran), and reporting and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success leading client delivery teams, managing project workstreams, and building strong client relationships in a consulting or advisory environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics for finance executive audiences.
- Collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to practice development and firm growth within the asset management vertical.
