Role Description:
Senior Financial Analyst (Data & Automation)
Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting of the Controllership Strategy & Enablement Team, we are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support our team’s strategy, growth and innovation. This position is based in Hyderabad. As a member of the Controllership Strategy & Enablement Team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment who brings together accounting expertise, data analytics and systems/technology capabilities to drive innovation, scalability and operational excellence across global controllership team.
We are looking for someone who has strong data analytics skills, accounting and audit knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, is a strong communicator, thrives on process improvement, and enjoys working in a challenging, fast–paced environment to support our continued success.
Exceptional candidates will be critical thinkers with focus on implementing innovation, process improvements to streamline and scale Salesforce’s processes for growth while not compromising compliance.
Responsibilities
Data Analytics and Business Insights
Design and develop interactive dashboards and data models to support quality assurance and controllership reporting
Perform advanced analytics and data deep dives to identify trends, anomalies and potential control gaps
Translate complex datasets into clear, executive ready insights and visualizations
Leverage tools such as Tableau, Python, and cloud data platforms to enable data driven decision making
Innovation, Automation and Enablement
Identify opportunities to automate accounting and reporting processes using data, scripting (e.g. Python), and AI/ML solutions
Contribute to innovation initiatives that explore emerging technologies and digital transformation in controllership
Challenge the status quo and implement scalable solutions to support business growth
Support the adoption and optimization of Salesforce Tools
Partner with development teams on requirements gathering, UAT, and deployment of new capabilities and enhancements within the accounting ecosystem
Develop and deliver enablement content and training to drive toll adoption and process compliance across controllership
Manage user facing documentation, SOPs and playbooks for key business processes
Process Optimization & Controls
Design and implement end to end process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy and scalability
Ensure solutions align with SOX compliance, internal controls and global policy requirements
Develop frameworks for data governance, control monitoring and compliance automation
Partner with SSC and cross functional teams to assess the financial and control impact of business changes and ensure alignment with IT control frameworks
Drive alignment across global and regional stakeholders on processes, systems and data standards
Drive automation and standardization of controls to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive experience across Accounting, IT Audit, Data Analytics or Finance Technology (Big4 or tech industry preferred)
Strong hybrid skill set across accounting, data and technology
Experience working in global organizations with distributed teams across multiple regions
Experience with Salesforce (Tableau, Slack, Agents etc.)
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, WD Discovery Board or similar)
Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar tools for data analysis and automation
Experience with AI/ML applications in finance or business processes
Strong understanding of data governance, data flows and system integrations
Strong understanding of ITGCs, application controls and SOX compliance frameworks
Knowledge of access controls, change management and system operations controls
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Workday, Oracle, SAP)
Exposure to finance system implementation, UAT or transformation projects
Proven track record in process reengineering, automation and continuous improvement
Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data architectures (e.g. Snowflake) is a plus

Excellent communication and stakeholder management across global teams
