What You'll Do:
Finance Manager will be the lead finance business partner across the full Soccer and Stadia portfolio as well as manage the Event business cost centres.
The role will need to become embedded in the Soccer business, partnering with the team to ensure finance is across all the sponsorship management and consultancy contracts. As the business develops its corporate hospitality offering, the FM will be a key finance person in managing planning and expansion of this business.
The candidate must have a pro-active and adaptive approach to work as well as a willingness and interest in understanding the nature of the business and the many factors affecting it.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- This role will be expected to take full ownership of the BU Finance and keep the Finance Director informed of the progress, involving them where necessary.
- Business Partner with the VPs, Directors and Ops team to support on sales and management contracts
- Work with the VP of each area to ensure they are fully supported and have clear and concise information for decision making
- Ensure all revenue planning and ops budgets are up to date and reconcilable - working with the business teams to do so
- Ensure applicable taxes are accounted for appropriately by checking treatment with internal tax team
- Own the bottom-up detailed business planning and cash flow planning
- Own scenario analysis
- Own and manage the Risks and Opps across the portfolio
- Ensure the Finance Director is fully informed of all necessary items
- Support Finance Director and own some of the New Business by working directly with Business VPs and others in the business to create detailed finance models with relevant metrics and forecasts
- Work with ensure monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed:
- Ensure the month end P&L and BS reflects the reality of the current view
- Provide commentary to any variance to plan
- Ensure weekly cash flow requests are accurate and complete
- Weekly and ad hoc sales reports are accurate and complete
- Implement and maintain finance processes, reporting tools & controls across the division to ensure consistency, accuracy and speed of reporting
- Ability to communicate with senior and non-finance staff to understand the drivers impacting event performance
- Supply relevant information to Corporate Controllers relating to the Events division throughout the audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc.
- Will be required to work occasionally outside of standard working hours or at weekends at events
You Have These:
- 2 - 3 years PQE – ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent or qualified by experience
- Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Office)
- Strong accounting knowledge
