Our Finance Business Advice team works in close partnership with Global Sectors, Products, Transformation office TO, Capital management, Risk and Chief commercial office to provide insights that guide thoughtful decisions and nurture long-term value. We go beyond numbers—turning data into meaningful stories that inspire growth and innovation.

As Finance Business Advice partner for Sectors and TO, you’ll cooperating with a talented team that supports key decisions and facilitates planning processes such as monthly closing, Quarterly Performance Dialogues, Dynamic Planning, and Rolling Forecasts. Your role will be creating alignment so that we can achieve sustainable performance and shared ambitions.

Based in Amsterdam within the CFO Wholesale Banking Finance department, you’ll report directly to the head of FBA Sectors and TO Wholesale Banking and join collaborative group of eight finance professionals. In this role, you’ll connect with diverse stakeholders worldwide, including Global and Regional Sector MTs, Group & WB Finance, CTO, Treasury, Risk, Corporate Strategy, and COO Finance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships across Wholesale Banking and Finance, ensuring open communication and a trusted, independent finance perspective at the highest level.
  • Set an inclusive and clear direction for financial advice and insights, delivering timely, accurate, and forward-looking analyses that empower senior leaders to achieve goals and foster sustainable growth.
  • Support and guide the development of impactful Analysis and advice for global heads—helping shape the future of Wholesale Banking through innovation.
  • Partner with global and regional leadership teams during planning and performance cycles—quarterly reviews, Dynamic Plan, and Rolling Forecasts—ensuring alignment with Group Finance standards and shared priorities.
  • Create and refine global profitability frameworks, offering transparent, actionable insights that help teams make informed decisions.
  • Encourage collaboration and innovation through cross-functional and virtual teams within WB Finance, sharing best practices across geographies and disciplines.
  • Champion continuous improvement, data savvy using digital tools and advanced analytics to make reporting, forecasting, and communication more intuitive and effective.
  • Maintain strong, supportive relationships with regional and local finance leaders, offering guidance, listening actively, and ensuring consistency and integrity in financial reporting worldwide.

Furthermore, you have:

  • 15+ years of experience in finance, ideally within global financial institutions.
  • A proven track record in senior finance roles, with exposure to Wholesale Banking.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading global projects and delivering strategic financial advice at the executive level.
  • A strategic and inclusive thinker with deep knowledge of products balance sheet, Profit and Loss accounts, client and product profitability
  • Skilled at building trust and influencing senior stakeholders across global teams.
  • Experienced in financial modelling, big data modelling and structuring, risk frameworks, and navigating regulatory landscapes.
  • An excellent communicator who brings clarity and connection to complex topics.
  • Comfortable leading through change in dynamic, cross-border environments.
