About You
The Senior Finance Analyst undertakes finance partnering activities including but not limited to:
Work with the Finance Partner Team in the development of the Operations portfolio financial plans
Performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, reporting and analytics for the overall Operations portfolio
Dedicated Finance Partner support to portfolio's within Operations (including HS&R & Finance), People & Culture and for Enterprise Projects
Planning, reporting and analysis at, Operations, Portfolio and cost centre level
FTE analysis and insights for the Operations and P&C portfolio
Provide analytical support to Senior Finance Business Partner – Operations, Project Business Case Evaluation, Modelling and Benefits Analysis.
You will utilise your extensive financial, accounting and strategy knowledge and expertise to support financial planning, business performance analysis and reporting, preparation of presentations and documents needed by senior management for decision making, to show how budgets/or rolling forecast compare against actual performance and to support transform overarching organisation strategy into long term plans on which budgets are formed amongst other key function deliverables.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Significant and demonstrated experience in management accounting with a high degree of fluency with local and global financial and accounting standards within complex organisational matrices and/or global/group environments.
Practical knowledge of Workday for Financial Management purposes
A proven track record solving complex/strategic issues using a variety of innovative approaches to drive culture, sound decision making, change, high performance/results, risk management, customer and stakeholder experience.
Professional skill in financial report preparation and analysing/summarising complex data in a robust and controlled manner with an ability to present to senior executive leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent track record of commitment to and successful delivery of high-quality outputs within strict deadlines (organisational and time management skills)
Solid business acumen, detail oriented, highly analytical, creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence.
Advanced ability to manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment.
Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the University and with external agencies to maximize performance.
Excellent understanding of local and global market/context within which the University operates.
