About the role

An exciting new position has become available for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team and partner with our Energy Markets & Development portfolio.

This role sits at the heart of AGL’s Environmental Markets (ECO) and Decentralised Energy Resources (DER) portfolios, transforming complex financial information into clear, commercial insight. As a trusted strategic finance partner, you will work closely with stakeholders to challenge assumptions, highlight key value drivers, and shape operational and strategic outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver high quality monthly performance reporting for Eco and DER portfolios, including insightful variance analysis and clear, decision focused management commentary.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and four-year plans across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
  • Consolidate & present monthly and quarterly performance and forecasting outputs in line with Group timetables, ensuring consistency, and accuracy.
  • Support preparation & commentary of disclosures for Operating Financial Reports (OFR) and Portfolio Management Reporting (PMR).
  • Provide insight into major performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across trading, compliance, and DER activities.

About you

  • Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and performance management or data analytics within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business drivers into financial insights.
  • Exposure to energy markets, trading, or environmental markets is desirable.
  • Experience in month end close and external reporting is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modelling with Excel & ERPs (SAP preferred).
  • CA or CPA qualified (desirable however not essential).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or Data Analytics.
