 About the Role

Lex Machina, the LexisNexis Legal Analytics platform, seeks a Senior Legal Entity Database Specialist (DBA III) to build and maintain the most accurate entity dataset for federal and state courts. You will be responsible for curating and maintaining litigation-related entity data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for parties, law firms, attorneys, and judges across venues and jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, passionate about data quality, and comfortable performing meticulous data entry tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong collaboration within a distributed team and a genuine curiosity to learn about litigation processes and data. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Support, Engineering, and Product, to support a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to set and enforce data quality standards.

  • Proven experience with data entry, data curation, document review, or dataset development.

  • Demonstrated initiative in driving the creation, improvement, and expansion of datasets, not just maintaining existing data.

  • Comfortable working in a distributed team environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills to align cross-functional efforts.

  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to deepen knowledge of litigation data and legal processes.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies and to recommend solutions that improve workflow efficiency.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize, self-direct, and deliver results under minimal supervision.

 Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Two to three years of demonstrated professional experience leading or contributing to data entry, data curation, or document review projects.

  • Demonstrated passion for data quality and accuracy.

  • Comfortable working in a distributed team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Interested in learning about litigation procedures, legal terminology, and legal data (no legal background necessary but enthusiasm will help!)

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Fluent English communication (C1 as minimum)
