What this opportunity involves:
JLL Property and Asset Management is seeking an exceptional Senior Engineering Manager to join our team at a prestigious mixed-use development in Melbourne's CBD.
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Engineering Manager to take responsibility for all property engineering and operational activities including sustainability and risk management across our commercial, retail and mixed-use components. You will act as second-in-charge to the General Manager and lead our Building Services Manager and Facilities Manager.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work within a complex mixed-use environment, managing both commercial property services and owners corporation responsibilities in Melbourne's premier business district.
An overview of the role:
· Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor and develop the engineering and operations team to maximise effectiveness and efficiency
· Client Services: Deliver exceptional service to owners and occupants, ensuring compliance with all Property Management and Owners Corporation Agreement requirements
· Compliance & Certification: Ensure compliance with environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, including contractor inductions and risk management
· Contract Management: Oversee all specialist contractors, ensuring compliance with contract terms and nominated scope of works
· Maintenance & Risk Management: Implement and maintain computerised Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems and safety initiatives
· Budget Management: Prepare annual operations and capital works budgets, with quarterly monitoring and forecasting
· Tenant Services: Manage tenant fit-out processes and TSR system performance to JLL standards
· Emergency Procedures: Provide 24/7 emergency call support and maintain evacuation procedures and training programmes
· Sustainability: Implement energy, water and waste conservation initiatives whilst maintaining awareness of environmental law changes
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
· Tertiary degree in Engineering, Built Environment, Building or equivalent qualification applicable to property operations management
· Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing deadlines with tight financial constraints
· Proficiency in Building Automation Systems and MS Office Suite
· Strong communication skills across all organisational levels with customer service focus
· Proactive problem-solving approach with solutions-based attitude
· Lateral thinking ability with capacity to introduce innovation and industry best practice
· Conscientiousness, diligence and organised approach to work
· Willingness to accommodate change and embrace new technologies
