ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior SDET to join our Engineering Quality team in Bangalore. In this role, you will own and drive the quality of our IoT device and software ecosystems — building robust test frameworks, validating hardware-software integrations, and ensuring our fleet safety products deliver consistent, reliable performance in real-world conditions. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, backend engineers, and product teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • IoT Device Validation: Design and execute end-to-end test plans to validate hardware and software modules of IoT devices, including firmware behaviour, sensor integrations, and communication interfaces.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and suites that verify device functionality across real-time operating conditions, edge cases, and failure scenarios.
  • Simulation & Emulation: Build tooling to simulate real-world IoT device conditions to verify device resilience without solely relying on physical test environments.
  • Data Analysis & Anomaly Detection: Monitor, query, and analyse large-scale device datasets and telemetry logs to proactively detect anomalies, regressions, and performance degradation.
  • Framework Development: Contribute to the architecture and continuous improvement of the in-house test automation framework — making it extensible, maintainable, and reusable across teams.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback on every build and release cycle.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps and root-cause analysis; track issues to resolution in collaboration with development teams.
  • Process Improvement: Champion quality best practices — code reviews, test coverage standards, and shift-left testing approaches.
