About the role:
- This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and reviewing line maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing equipment is always available for production use and that equipment performance and reliability are maintained at their optimum levels at all times.
What you will do:
- Ensure maximum machine availability and optimal utilization to support uninterrupted production operations.
- Monitor and implement improvement projects to increase Machine MTBA (Mean Time Between Assists).
- Lead functional improvement and cost-reduction projects to enhance efficiency and minimize expenses.
- Support the evaluation and introduction of new parts and capabilities to enhance machine performance and production flexibility.
- Review and approve equipment operating procedures to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Handle equipment selection (BEST team), prepare procurement specifications, and develop equipment documentation (e.g., Work Instructions, FMEA, Troubleshooting procedures).
- Ensure machines comply with all safety and quality requirements.
- Conduct new equipment training and disseminate best practices to technicians.
- Facilitate technical support skills development to strengthen team capability.
- Oversee spare parts management to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Have hands-on knowledge with Midend/Central Equipment (End-of-Line) such as CB/WB test handler, CB/WB test and other MC with Automated processed.
- Support capacity increases, package transfers, and qualification of backup products within the plant site.
- Performs other duties as required by immediate superior from time to time.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in Equipment Engineering or Preventive Maintenance within a Mid-End Assembly (End-of-Line) environment.
- Proficient in basic statistical and analytical tools (e.g., histograms, mean/median/mode, Pareto, Fishbone, SPC) to analyze downtime, identify equipment failure causes, and monitor process performance
- Proficient in electro-pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, PDCA, 4C, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Team player who can work effectively across all levels in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
