    Key Responsibilities

    • Rapidly prototype and iterate on new product concepts in partnership with product and design leads, driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
    • Design, implement, and maintain software solutions using best practices in modern software development.
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Angular, TypeScript, C#, and .NET to deliver high-impact features.
    • Work closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to rapidly translate early-stage product ideas into working prototypes and scalable solutions.
    • Deliver solutions within our established tech stack and architecture, while actively identifying opportunities to optimize for speed, scalability, and AI integration.
    • Own the quality of what you ship, including thoughtful testing (unit, integration, performance), even when moving fast.
    • Engage in AI-informed code reviews, sharing patterns, prompt strategies, and improvements to both code quality and development workflows.
    • Pitch in when issues arise, from prototype quirks to production incidents, helping the team troubleshoot, learn, and iterate quickly.

    Key Qualifications

    • Education & Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in C# / .NET (preferably .NET 7), Angular with TypeScript, SQL Server, and Web API integrations.
    • AI & Innovation Experience: Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) in development, with a critical approach to AI-generated outputs; experience in innovation teams or AI-driven projects is a plus.
    • Cloud & Tools: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
    • Security & Standards: Familiarity with OWASP and ISO27001 standards.
    • Bonus Skills: Experience with Excel integrations, mathematical programming, Salesforce, developer experience (DX) improvements, or AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, or HuggingFace.
    • Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, adaptability, attention to detail, effective teamwork, and excellent communication abilities.
    • Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be based in Christchurch, as this is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office collaboration
