About the Position…
Our Engineering team supports design-build projects across the country, delivering innovative, coordinated, and value-driven solutions that have helped Power Design maintain a 95% repeat client rate.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert and team leader on multi-family high-rise projects, guiding electrical design from concept through construction. In this role, you will lead and mentor design team members, develop electrical models in Revit, and work directly with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant electrical systems.
Position Details / Responsibilities…
- Coordinate optimal electrical design solutions by applying industry expertise while considering client requirements, constructability, and project budgets.
- Serve as the technical lead for multiple projects through bidding, design, permitting, and construction phases, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and manage Revit-based electrical models and construction documents, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to project standards.
- Lead and mentor engineering and design team members, providing technical guidance, design direction, and professional development support.
- Participate in and lead client and coordination meetings, clearly communicating design intent and responding to project requirements.
- Provide value engineering and design optimization recommendations for new and existing electrical systems.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, project teams, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes and project requirements while maintaining high documentation quality.
Here’s What We’re Looking For…
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
- 10+ years of electrical design experience, with demonstrated involvement in multi-family and high-rise construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design fundamentals, including NEC, IBC, IECC, and life safety codes.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling and documentation required.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical expert within a project environment.
- Strong communication skills with experience interfacing directly with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced design-build environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at both strategic and functional levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
