Senior Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer (EE) is responsible for all hardware-related work, including hardware design, parts selection, circuit calculation and analysis, testing and verification, production support and technical communication for specific project or product family within all engineering disciplines to meet and exceed customer requirements. The EE coordinates across engineering competences and drives hardware development of ECU products with responsibilities for the delivery of hardware-related documents, customer communication, as well as testing and verification.

Key Accountabilities

Design and develop ECU /TCU/VCU for  Engine SystemsTransmission Systems and Electric Vehicle systems

Ensure products meet all customers and internal electrical requirements

Be responsible for the requirement analysis, solution design, schematic design, component selection and simulation of hardware systems/modules, such as power supply, drive, signal integrity, etc.

Collaborate across teams to ensure the achievement of hardware design objectives; participate in design reviews (e.g. schematic design and PCB Layout reviews).

Apply engineering CAD/CAE tools (e.g. Mentor, Mathcad , LTspice and Saber) to perform design analysis and evaluation

Develop EMC and electrical performance DV/PV test plans, review test reports, complete design schemes related to product EMC and electrical performance, and support EMC and electrical performance testing and rectification.

Verify and validate designs on bench and in vehicle as necessary

Support module level validation

Track and resolve technical issues arising in all stages of hardware development, conduct failure analysis and provide effective corrective measures.

Find root cause and corrective action to any electrical design related issues

Create and maintain technical documents related to hardware design and testing.

Follow engineering design process and product release procedures

Provide technical support to manufacturing during pilot run and production start-up

Participate in new product development with others as a team player

 

Key Competencies

Bachelor or above degree in electrical, electronic, Automation, Automotive engineering

At least 3 years work experience of power management electrical design, automotive electrical module design experience preferred. 

Electrical design experience on ECU /TCU/VCU product will be a plus.

Electronic design experience on fuel injection systems for Internal-combustion engine will be a plus.

Working knowledge of and/or skill in one or more of the following areas:

a. High current/ High voltage electrical system design

b. Experience of the micro-controller system design

c. Has a solid foundation in Analog and digital circuit, and is familiar with the use of relevant testing instruments.

d. PCB layout knowledge and low emission layout experience

e. CAD design and CAE analysis tool application

f. Advanced analytical, technical, and statistical skills (incl root cause analysis and/or 8D problem solving)

Comprehensive technical English reading/writing and verbal communication skills

With positive people interface attitude
