As part of Invited Content Group in the Science, Technology, and Medical Journals, the Editorial Manager team manages an extensive collection of high-impact invited-only journals. About the Role
You will play a critical role in supporting the development of highly prestigious titles (e.g. Current Opinion journals). You will manage the end-to-end publication process of sections and work with editors and authors to ensure a successful publication. You will work closely with publishers to maintain a healthy pipeline of sections for the responsible journals and to ensure continuation and consistency of the journal brand.
Responsibilities
Coordinating the publication of journals and ensuring timely delivery of issues
Serving as the primary point of contact for Authors/Editors/Publishers, ensuring that the journals are running smoothly and efficiently
Identifying high-impact topics for themed issues and then recruiting leading scientists to serve as Section Editors, in line with agreements and policies as set by the Publisher
Providing administrative and analytical support to the journals
Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree in arts or science, a M.Sc/MA is a plus but not required.
Have an understanding of scientific publishing and peer review
Have excellent communication skills and excellent written and spoken English
Have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, analytical and proactive, focus, and achieve desired goals
