Senior Draws Audit Specialist

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Draws Audit Specialist to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of all ILC and OLG draws by overseeing draw and winner selection activities, validating system outputs, and maintaining independent audit controls. This role acts as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, supports system testing and recovery processes, and upholds secure access to critical systems. The Senior Draws Audit Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding public trust in OLG’s lottery operations through rigorous auditing, compliance, and operational excellence.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts (on site) between 9:00am and 5:00am, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Draws Audit, you will be empowered to:
Supervise draw and winner selection activities at the Data Centre for ILC and OLG Lottery Games. Act as OLG’s official representative to the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC), independent draw observers, and draw officers.
Oversee the confirmation of daily sales, game and event shutdowns, share values, prize structures, and the authorization of validations for ILC and OLG online products.
Resolve discrepancies between systems in a timely manner, escalating issues to support staff and management when necessary.
Perform key control functions by balancing and reconciling Lottery Gaming System winner transactions with the Independent Audit System. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in winner selection for all lottery products.
Conduct acceptance testing for new games and events as directed by the Project Manager. Update Draws Audit documentation and procedures accordingly
Execute the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) in alignment with Draws Audit procedures. Maintain records and provide evidence of successful DRP execution.
Collaborate with MNP to maintain and troubleshoot Audit System software in accordance with established procedures. Perform regular data backups and test recovery processes.
Develop and maintain detailed Draws Audit procedures and problem-resolution protocols.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the Audit System and assist in defining requirements for new games.
Collaborate with MNP, the Audit System’s external support team, to test new products and provide feedback based on test results.
Recommend updates to Draw Audit procedures as needed.
Evaluate and propose solutions for Gaming System issues related to draw and winner selection activities.
Stay current on all OLG games, products, policies, and procedures relevant to draw and winner selection.
Act as the gatekeeper for access to the Random Number Generator (RNG) servers, ensuring secure and authorized access. Provide timely access to support staff in accordance with audit controls and procedures.
Load the Family Responsibility Office (FRO) file into the OLG system, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and timelines.
Load Instant Games into the OLG system, ensuring accurate configuration and validation in line with established procedures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 3 years of related work experience
Knowledge & Education: University or College Diploma in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience; knowledge of PC technologies and software (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), servers, OpenVMS; working knowledge of Lottery Gaming and Support Systems including Online Product Management (OLPM), Retailer Administration Management System (RAMS), Promotional Management System, Family Responsibility Office application, Manager Instant Passive System (MIPS), Lottery Administration Portal System (LAPS) (preferred)
