Job Description
This role provides administrative support to the National Group Disability organization and works closely with both our internal and external customers, including Case Managers, Associate Managers, DA and SDA colleagues, Specialists, Medical Consultants, Lawyers, Plan Sponsors, and Plan Members.
Key Accountabilities & Job Duties:
Processing Access Requests (file copy requests) by reviewing the request and the consent to identify correct information to send and authority to do so
Reviewing access requests meticulously and redacting third party information to avoid privacy breach – each document is reviewed to ensure it matches the request and authority above
Privacy Breach incidents are referred to the employee’s leader who handles the resolution and reporting requirements
Handling emails in several group email inboxes
Setting up disability claims and/or handling follow-ups for claims
Handling Client and Control Reports
Issuing payments for vendor invoices
Data entry (from claim forms to claims payment system – Navigator)
Emailing and/or printing and sending out correspondence to claimants, clients or other stakeholders ensuring that privacy protocols are followed
Offsite file tracking/search/retrieval
Handling of media files
Assisting with new client onboarding – transfer of files
New hire onboarding - Ordering IT equipment/access, coordinating with manager of new hire
IT equipment ordering/support for existing employees
Job Requirements
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Post-secondary education (college or university level) is required
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong PC skills with experience using Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
Excellent organization, prioritization, and planning abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Flexible, adaptable, and able to cope with high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines
Fast learner who is analytical, proactive, and takes initiative
Ability to probe, investigate and take ownership of discrepancies/issues and see through to resolution
Tact and diplomacy
Able to work independently as well as within a team

Referenced Salary Location
CAN, Ontario - Full Time RemoteWorking Arrangement
Salary range is expected to be between
$39,225.00 CAD - $65,375.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
