Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Change Management

The Senior Director, Strategic Planning & Change Management position is responsible for executing on the long-term direction of a diversified fuel, energy, and retail enterprise. This role drives enterprise-wide strategic planning, operational transformation, and change-management initiatives that support sustainable growth, market competitiveness, and organizational excellence. The leader will collaborate closely with executives and cross-functional partners to evaluate market trends, identify strategic opportunities, improve performance, and ensure successful adoption of key business initiatives across Global Partners.

Job Description:

Enterprise Strategic and Corporate Planning Leadership

  • Set the strategic direction for the enterprise planning process and define the multi-year framework that connects corporate priorities, long-range financial objectives, and operational capacity.
  • Manage and lead the company's ongoing Strategic Corporate Governance forums curating content and facilitating decisions.
  • Lead the evolution of this planning framework from a transformation program-driven model into a sustainable, corporate capability that informs annual and long-range strategic decision-making.
  • Provide thought leadership to the Executive Team on trade-offs, scenario planning, and investment pacing.

Business Process Architecture Leadership

  • Define and lead the enterprise strategy and long-term roadmap for Business Process Architecture.
  • Establish governance for enterprise-wide process standards, capability models, and optimization priorities.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing BPA team with the skills needed in process modeling, capability mapping, and enterprise design.
  • Partner with business, operations and technology leaders to embed enterprise process standards into workflow design, automation strategies, and future operating model development.

Change Management Capability and Integration

  • Set the enterprise strategy for organizational readiness, adoption practices, leadership alignment and change governance.
  • Establish the frameworks, competency standards, and methodologies required to embed change leadership into daily operations.
  • Build and manage a skilled Change Management team capable of supporting enterprise initiatives and elevating organizational change maturity.
  • Guide executive decision-making on the change implications of strategic choices, portfolio sequencing, and major investment decisions.

Transformation Impact Tracking and Financial Realization

  • Own the enterprise strategy for modeling, forecasting, and validating financial and operational impacts of transformation initiatives.
  • Establish ROI, value realization, and financial governance standards.
  • Lead a team of Program Managers to build integrated implementation plans that reflect investment capacity and strategic pacing.
  • Develop talent in value realization, financial modeling, and enterprise planning disciplines.

Executive Engagement and Cross-Enterprise Alignment

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CSO, CEO, CFO, COO, and Executive Leadership Team on enterprise readiness, capability maturity, prioritization, and investment trade-offs.
  • Negotiate alignment across business units, resolving conflicts that impact strategic priorities, resource allocation, or organizational readiness.
  • Drive cohesive alignment between financial strategy, corporate planning, and change readiness.
  • Ensure consistent communication, transparency, and executive-level accountability around strategic progress, financial realization, and capability maturity.

Additional Job Description:

·       Demonstrates advanced strategic foresight, shaping multi-year enterprise strategies, anticipating industry trends, and guiding scenario-based decision-making.

·       Recognized organizational expert with authority to define enterprise process standards and architecture strategy.

·       Significant experience successfully utilizing process modeling, optimization, and performance improvement methodologies to create end to end processes that drive value.

·       Exhibits deep financial literacy and the ability to connect strategic initiatives to financial results.

·       Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives across the enterprise, navigating complex political and organizational dynamics to achieve alignment.

·       Proficient in enterprise planning, modeling, process architecture tools, and visualization systems.

Pay Range:

$139,600.00 - $209,400.00

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
