Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and execution of business strategy for the SSP, East Asia & India Neurovascular businesses.

Accountable for driving regional growth, profitability, and operational excellence while leading a team of senior business unit leaders across three dynamic regions. Fosters a culture grounded in integrity, compliance, and high performance—empowering teams to deliver meaningful impact for patients, customers, and the company. Accountable to region P&L, in a business with sales revenue $80M+ USD.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Strategy

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive long-term business plan for the SSP, East Asia & India Region, aligning short-term priorities with strategic objectives to achieve sustained growth and profitability.

  • Leads strategic decision-making and provides direction across sales, marketing, clinical, and training functions to ensure successful product launches, market expansion, and execution of key initiatives.

  • Owns the region’s P&L; monitors performance rigorously, ensures objectives are met within budget, and takes proactive corrective actions to deliver on commitments.

  • Conducts regular business and sales reviews, assesses market dynamics, and adjusts strategies to stay ahead of evolving customer and competitive landscapes.

  • Integrates regional plans into the broader Asia Neurovascular divisional strategy, ensuring alignment and synergy across the region.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Leads, inspires, and develops a high-performing team of senior business unit leaders, fostering an inclusive culture that values collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Drives employee engagement and empowerment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Acts as a thought leader and mentor—building leadership capability and ensuring robust succession planning in alignment with future business needs.

Marketing Excellence & Growth

  • Provides strategic oversight and guidance to Regional Marketing, ensuring alignment with global and Asia marketing strategies.

  • Champions excellence in product positioning, brand development, and commercialization, aligned with the Stryker Marketing Excellence framework, to strengthen the company’s leadership in Neurovascular

  • Oversees product launches, pricing strategy, communications, and professional relations to maximize market impact and customer value.

Collaboration & Relationship Building

  • Builds and nurtures trusted partnerships with country leaders and functional counterparts across HR, Finance, Compliance, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Excellence.

  • Develops and sustains strong relationships with key external stakeholders including hospital executives, clinicians, and health system administrators.

  • Collaborates closely with other Stryker divisions and global teams to drive cross-divisional synergies and deliver unified, customer-centric solutions.

  • Spends meaningful time in-market to stay closely connected to customers, understand regional nuances, and identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Integrity, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Champions a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regional regulations.

  • Ensures robust governance, documentation, and employee training in all operational areas.

  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

Industry Insight & Thought Leadership

  • Maintains a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting the Neurovascular space.

  • Shares insights and strategic recommendations with senior leadership to shape business direction and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Travel Percentage: 30%
