The Senior Director, Finance Shared Services is a transformative finance leader responsible for shaping FleetPride’s shared services strategy and executing enterprise-wide process modernization. This role drives operational excellence through large-scale system implementations, process redesign, and digital transformation. As a strong people leader and change agent, the Senior Director inspires cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing finance operations that support the company’s strategic growth agenda.

Strategic Leadership

  • Shape the long-term strategic roadmap for finance shared services to support FleetPride’s growth grounded in principles of process excellence and process standardization, scalability and sustainability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influencing enterprise priorities related to finance operations, automation, and organizational design.
  • Champion an enterprise mindset that balances standardization, efficiency, and customer experience.

Operational Oversight

  • Lead the delivery of finance shared services in the areas Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit & Collections along with other areas requested by the CAO.
  • Monitor and improve operational performance against service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Optimize working capital performance by managing effective collections, dispute resolution, and credit risk controls along with other levers in trade working capital (e.g., payment terms).

Process Optimization & Technology Enablement

  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to streamline operations.
  • Lead or support ERP upgrades, RPA deployments, and other digital initiatives within finance shared services.
  • Drive standardization and scalability of services across the enterprise, including newly acquired businesses.

M&A Integration Support

  • Serve as a key partner in M&A activities, including due diligence, operational assessments, and post-close integration planning.
  • Lead the transition and onboarding of acquired entities into finance shared services platforms and processes.
  • Ensure continuity of service and alignment with internal control frameworks during M&A integrations.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Manage, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across multiple locations and functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Governance, Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, credit policies, and procurement guidelines.
  • Collaborate across functions to maintain a strong control environment.

Financial Stewardship

  • Manage finance shared services budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor cost-to-serve performance.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on finance shared services performance and integration milestones.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and/or shared services, with 7+ years overseeing a medium to large finance shared services organization.
  • Proven track record of transforming finance operations through technology enablement (ERP, RPA, AI, analytics).

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, and other centralized finance operations (e.g., treasury).
  • Demonstrated success in M&A integration, process transformation, and leading large-scale process and system changes.
  • Proficient in large ERP systems and shared services technology platforms. Experience with AS400/iSeries desirable.

  • Deep understanding of credit risk management and working capital optimization.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Change management certification or experience preferred.
