Senior Director, Corporate Audit – SOX Program

The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director, Corporate Audit – SOX Program leader to design and build a dual Center of Excellence strategy for the SOX Program responsible for all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testing efforts within the Corporate Audit Department. The dual approach includes an Atlanta-based Center of Excellence (COE), overseen by the SOX Program Director, as well as a second Philippines-based COE hub focused on delivering a significant proportion of global SOX testing. This role is responsible for shared oversight of the SOX program, including leading multiple teams and workstreams concurrently to ensure effective execution and reporting. Program management responsibilities include testing plans for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), resource allocation, and stakeholder management and reporting.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Identify financial reporting risks and determine which processes and controls are critical to mitigating identified risks.

  • Understand, monitor, and analyze the actions of the Securities and Exchange Commission and PCAOB and the potential impact of those actions on the Company.

  • Work directly with the SOX Program Lead in representing this work to the ELT.

  • Organize global teams and allocate resources to evaluate critical financial controls.

  • Coordinate SOX testing activities with external auditors to ensure alignment and efficiency.

  • Oversee testing plan and results and collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and communicate remediation plans.

  • Design and implement reporting routines to communicate findings to management and external auditors, as necessary.

  • Monitor changes in business processes, accounting standards, and regulations that may impact internal controls and SOX compliance. Analyze, assess, and report trends to relevant stakeholders.

  • Iterate and improve the SOX testing program to adapt to changes and enhance control environment effectiveness.

  • Manage the relationship with EY, including the design, implementation and execution of our global EY reliance program.

  • Participate in peer industry networks for best practice sharing, learning, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Relevant assurance certification, including CPA, CA, or equivalent.

  • Years of SOX 404 audit experience within the beverage or CPG industries. Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.

  • 10+ Years of experience leading global audit teams

  • Knowledge of US GAAP, auditing standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, IIA Professional Practices and Standards, risk and controls standards and business process best practices.

  • The ability to effectively lead, prioritize, and execute complex global audits.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
