THE ROLE

As Senior Director, you provide visionary leadership across multiple paid search teams, seamlessly blending strategic insight, creativity, and operational excellence. You are a recognized subject matter expert in SEM, ensuring best-in-class campaign execution and enabling teams to deliver error-free, high-impact work at scale. By setting best practices, championing knowledge-sharing, and fostering collaboration, you elevate paid search performance across the organization. You actively partner with your teams, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent delivery, smooth activations, and achievement of client objectives across multiple accounts.

You remain at the forefront of SEM innovation and industry trends, driving forward-thinking solutions, championing accountability to client KPIs, and influencing broader business strategy. With a strategic eye for talent, you identify high-potential team members, cultivate development, and implement succession plans, creating a lasting legacy of empowerment, performance, and long-term success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and oversee multiple paid search teams across accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of strategic, tactical, and technical excellence in alignment with integrated media plans.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert in paid search, setting best practices, driving knowledge-sharing, and maintaining adherence to QA standards across all search channels.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for complex account performance, team resourcing, and process challenges, coaching managers and team members to resolve issues and optimize results.
  • Partner with Client Partners to define paid search strategies and tactical plans that ladder up to broader brand objectives, KPIs, and business goals.
  • Oversee activation team resourcing, utilization, and capacity planning across multiple accounts, ensuring optimal alignment of talent to client needs.
  • Drive talent development, mentorship, and succession planning for senior and mid-level team members, cultivating upward mobility and leadership potential.
  • Champion innovation, thought leadership, and continuous improvement across paid search teams, including new tools, processes, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and business growth by providing strategic oversight, actionable insights, and executive-level presentations that influence decision-making.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 10+ years of paid media experience across core Google Ads products, Apple Search Ads, and Microsoft Ads, with at least 3 years in a client-facing marketing role.
  • Proven experience managing multiple direct reports or teams, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members into more senior roles.
  • Deep expertise in SEM strategy, account auditing, optimization, and cross-channel integration within complex, multi-account environments.
  • Experience presenting growth strategy, SEO, CRO, analytics, and measurement insights to marketing managers and C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a client escalation point, evaluating team performance, proposing improvements, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
