At DXC Spain we are looking for a Senior DevOps profile to join our great team.

The DevOps Automation Expert will be responsible for designing and implementing monitoring solutions on the AWS platform using Kubernetes and Grafana/Prometheus. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, containerization, monitoring, and automation technologies. The role will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of the DXC platforms.

Primary and Mandatory Skill sets:

  • AWS Cloud Experience (Private & Public Cloud)
  • AWS DevOps (Lambda, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Route53, ELB, NLB, AppSync, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, IAM, AWS CLI Automation, VPC, EKS, Lux)
  • Installing & configuring DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, confluence, Artifactory, Grafana, Kibana, etc)
  • AWS Cloud Formation Templates
  • Auto-scaling configuration
  • Architecture designing principles

Good to Have:

  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Configuration Management Tools (Ansible, terraform)
  • Experience in networking & security aspects on the AWS platform

Technical Skills:

  • Overall Experience ~8 to 12 years
  • Minimum 4 years of Relevant Experience in Containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Must have experience in creating docker containers with various technologies.
  • Must have experience in CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins.
  • Implement security best practices for microservices using DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices.
  • Hands-on experience in container Docker, K8s and Kops
  • Hands-on Experience in agile project execution.
  • Configuration dashboards using Grafana
  • Hands-on experience on fluentd & Prometheus
  • Installing & Upgrade DevOps tools
  • Configuration of SSL certificates
  • Good understanding master/slave configuration of Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with scripting tools like -Groovy,Python,ruby,Go etc
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good knowledge of best practices on Kubernetes in AWS environment.
  • Understanding of AWS billing
  • Good understanding of network & DevSecOps principles
  • Good understanding of reverse proxy servers (NGINX)
  • Hand on experience in Unix Administration
  • Good knowledge of Architecture  principles
  • Good knowledge of configuration as code
  • Hands-on experience in documentation as code
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes cluster upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Understand current DevOps platform/environment while continuously improving the same through collaboration with relevant internal/external stakeholders
  • Build capabilities around emerging tools/technologies in the DevOps space, depending on the business pipeline  
  • Advising our customers on the latest technologies and methodologies, designing and implementing innovative approaches to their problems using Automation.   
  • Play the role of mentor/coach/guide for technical staff.
  • Defining processes and procedures to ensure maximum re-use and maintaining standards.
  • Understanding security policies and implementing solutions that satisfy the security requirements and Ensuring software standards are maintained
  • Demonstrate on-ground leadership in providing technical solutions, client conversations, delivery management, and innovation
