(Senior) Development Partner, Growth Enterprises & Partnerships

[What the role is]

As a member of the Growth Enterprises & Partnerships team under the Innovation Ecosystem Development (IED) division, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to drive initiatives that support different enterprise archetypes in innovating and commercialising new solutions. This includes:
a. Growth enterprises: Work with Account Managers to co-shape companies’ R&D and technology roadmaps to establish new competitive advantages for sustained business growth. This entails scoping out funding support through the RIS(C) scheme and IAF-ICP, as well as other non-grant facilitation.
b. Broad-based enterprises: Work with Industry Cluster teams to support companies’ innovation plans, through innovation intermediaries such as the Centres of Innovation and platforms such as Open Innovation Challenges.

[What you will be working on]

This portfolio plays a key part in driving support for Growth and Broad-based Enterprises.

a. Support for Growth Enterprise 

  • Work with AMs to jointly drive innovation engagements with Growth Enterprises by  (i) understanding their innovation and business needs; (ii) identifying suitable innovation partners to support their needs and (iii) develop innovation strategies and initiatives with actionable outcomes   

  • Deepen collaboration with relevant stakeholders and other Government agencies (e.g. EDB, A*STAR) to support the growth enterprises’ needs.  

  • Support the programme office for RIS(C) scheme by (i) developing customised RIS(C) support packages jointly with AMs to stretch companies’ innovation ambition and commitment; and (ii) tracking R&I/ RIS(C) outcomes at the company level.  

 

b. Support for Broad-based Enterprises 

  • Support policy development and compliance work for RIE Innovation Infrastructure scheme, including policy reviews, refinements and alignment across schemes.  

  • Manage documentation and respond to stakeholders, while monitoring implementation effectiveness and addressing policy-related risks. 

  • Performance tracking and reporting of innovation projects supported through the scheme and the associated KPIs and budget utilisation, including regular reporting/update to key stakeholders.

b. Effective engagement of stakeholders and ecosystem partners to drive win-win outcomes, with strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 

c. Critical thinking and analysis, with a bias to action and focus on achieving outcomes that are in line with Innovation Group’s mission 

d. Good to have (but not mandatory):  

i. A degree in Engineering, Environment, Business or Technology related fields 

ii. At least three years of working experience in the innovation/R&D ecosystem and/or business development/consulting fields.
