Arctic Wolf

Senior Developer

Bengaluru, IND Full time

At Arctic Wolf, we're redefining the cybersecurity landscape. With our employee Pack members, spread out globally, committed to setting new industry standards. Our accomplishments speak for themselves, from our recognition in the Forbes Cloud 100, CNBC Disruptor 50, Fortune Future 50, and Fortune Cyber 60 to winning the 2024 CRN Products of the Year award. We’re proud to be named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Managed Detection and Response Services and earning a Customers' Choice distinction from Gartner Peer Insights. Our Aurora Platform also received CRN’s Products of the Year award in the inaugural Security Operations Platform category. Join a company that’s not only leading, but also shaping, the future of security operations.

Our mission is to end cyber risk. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact, highly technical team in a fast-growing company recognized on the Deloitte Fast 500, with a track record of doubling in size, revenue, and customer base year over year.

About the Team

Our team, Quality Engineering, partners with product development R&D teams to improve software quality through scalable tooling, automation, and modern engineering practices. Our “customers” are developers and QEs across R&D. We build highly functional tools and frameworks that help teams test products better and ship with confidence, e.g., regression testing frameworks, performance testing tools, contract testing frameworks, and automated quality gates embedded in CI/CD pipelines.

We also produce high-fidelity test data that closely mimics production data to enable realistic testing, and we integrate third-party platforms (e.g., SonarQube, Wiz, Xray) to expand coverage and automate end-to-end quality workflows.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Sr. Developer 1 to architect, design, and build comprehensive software solutions that automate a variety of testing methods—functional and non-functional (performance, security, reliability)—at scale. This role is ideal for a developer with DevOps/SRE or platform engineering experience (or strong developer experience working closely with those disciplines), and a deep appreciation for engineering with quality.

You will design and build tools used broadly across R&D, enabling teams to increase coverage, reduce manual effort, improve signal, and establish consistent automated quality gates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable test automation solutions and platforms supporting:
    • Functional/regression testing
    • Performance and load testing
    • Security testing automation (where applicable)
    • Contract testing and service integration validation
  • Build and evolve frameworks, SDKs, CLIs, and services that developers/QEs can easily adopt.
  • Create and maintain automated quality gates integrated into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., build, test, scan, release workflows).
  • Develop capabilities for production-like test data generation, anonymization/masking, and synthetic data creation to enable realistic testing scenarios.
  • Integrate and automate workflows with third-party tools such as SonarQubeWiz, and Xray (test case management), improving observability and coverage.
  • Partner with product/R&D teams to understand gaps, gather requirements, drive adoption, and measure effectiveness (coverage, cycle time, defect escape rate, etc.).
  • Improve reliability and usability of tooling via strong engineering practices: testing, documentation, CI, release processes, monitoring, and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade systems.
  • Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Go etc.
  • Experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or developer roles with a solid understanding of testing and quality engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building automation at scale (tools, frameworks, pipelines, developer platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to design systems, make sound architectural decisions, and deliver maintainable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and integrating automation into developer workflows.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Working experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating or automating quality/security tools (e.g., SonarQube, Wiz, Xray or equivalents).
  • Familiarity with performance testing frameworks, security scanning automation, and/or contract testing approaches.
  • Experience building internal developer tools with strong UX (CLI ergonomics, APIs, docs, templates, paved paths).

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

  • Deliver one or more high-impact, adopted solutions that measurably improve automated quality coverage and/or reduce release risk.
  • Establish or enhance automated quality gates integrated into CI/CD with clear visibility and actionable feedback.
  • Improve consistency and fidelity of test data used across teams, enabling more production-realistic validation.
  • Increase adoption of standardized frameworks/tools across multiple R&D teams via documentation, enablement, and support.

Working Style / Collaboration

This role involves deep collaboration with developers and QEs across R&D. You’ll be expected to balance hands-on building with technical leadership—driving alignment, making pragmatic design decisions, and delivering solutions that teams genuinely want to use.
