Design Evaluation & Validation Engineer – Analog Power ICs 

Location: On-site at Analog Devices – General Trias

Overview: 
Analog Devices Philippines is seeking a Senior Design Evaluation Engineer to lead the validation of cutting-edge analog power ICs. In this role, you’ll drive complex evaluation programs, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with global teams to ensure the robust performance of next-generation power management solutions for automotive, industrial, and communications markets.

This is a lab-centric, in-office position designed for seasoned professionals who thrive in experimental environments, excel at troubleshooting, and are passionate about advancing semiconductor technology. What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead hands-on lab testing and validation of advanced power ICs (buck, boost, LDO, PMIC converters).
  • Define and execute comprehensive evaluation plans covering efficiency, transient response, EMI, thermal, and reliability testing.
  • Drive root-cause analysis of complex silicon and system-level issues, collaborating with Design, Applications, and Test Engineering teams worldwide.
  • Architect and implement automated test frameworks using Python, C#, or equivalent platforms to improve efficiency and repeatability.
  • Provide technical leadership in waveform analysis, noise characterization, and advanced measurement methodologies.
  • Review and guide PCB hardware design for evaluation platforms; ensure best practices in layout and signal integrity.
  • Document and present evaluation results to global cross-functional teams, influencing design decisions and product roadmaps.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth and continuous improvement in lab methodologies.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives in post-silicon validation, test development, and design-for-validation practices.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (Analog or Power Electronics specialization strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor design evaluation, validation, or related fields.
  • Expertise in analog circuits, power converter topologies, and system-level power management.
  • Advanced proficiency with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, SMUs, electronic loads, EMI analyzers, thermal chambers).
  • Strong background in test automation (Python, C#, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or C/C++).
  • Proven experience in PCB hardware design and tools (Cadence preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive technical decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, project ownership, and technical innovation.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
