At Dyson, we’re driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation—pushing boundaries in engineering, AI, and robotics. Our new Data Intelligence team sits at the heart of this mission: shaping Dyson’s future through data. Here, we blend creativity, precision, and audacity to power intelligent products. We craft data strategies and pipelines that fuel the next generation of connected devices.
You’ll work alongside brilliant minds from Dyson global engineering team and external software/hardware partners in an environment built for exploration, discovery, delivery and impact.
As the Senior Data Intelligence Manager, you’ll establish and lead our Data Intelligence team on-site for end-to-end Machine Learning data lifecycle. You will oversee three critical pillars: Data Curation & Labelling, MLOps Infrastructure, and Data Program Management. Your mission is to build a world-class "Data Factory" that ensures our ML models are fueled by high-quality, secure, and easily accessible data. This is a hands-on and high-profile role, who is not just managing a multidisciplinary group of data/ML engineers, scientists, and in-house contractors but also managing the data supply chain for our AI products.
Your core mission:
Strategic Leadership: Define the roadmap for the company’s Machine Learning data strategy, including build-vs-buy decisions for labelling tools and MLOps infrastructure.
Cross-Functional Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team consisting of ML Automation Engineers, MLOps Engineers, and Data Project Managers.
Data Governance & Ethics: Establish company-wide standards for data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), data security, and bias mitigation in training sets.
Operational Excellence: Define and track KPIs for the entire pipeline, such as Time-to-Label, Model Deployment Velocity, and Cost-per-Ground-Truth.
Oversee end-to-end data operations for Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and AI development.
Partner with product, engineering, robotics, and external collaborators to scope, collect, curate, and deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose data.
Own the management of in-house contractor resources—driving clarity, ensuring productivity and alignment to Dyson’s objectives.
Build a culture of quality, innovation, and accountability, supporting your team’s development and Dyson’s ambition.

You motivate others with clear vision, hands-on support, and by nurturing a culture of feedback, accountability, and growth.
Experience scaling an ML organization from a few localized models to an enterprise-wide automated pipeline.
Ability to architect high-level data flows between raw storage, labelling interfaces, and CI/CD training pipelines.
A deep understanding of the Machine Learning lifecycle—not necessarily to write the code, but to judge the feasibility and quality of the team's output.
Compliance & Security: Solid grounding in data sovereignty, encryption at rest/transit, and anonymization techniques.
Skilled at managing in-house contractors and external partners—balancing priorities, budgets, deliverables, and timelines. Experience in negotiating contracts and building win-win relationships is essential.
