Senior Data Analyst, Sales Analytics
The Senior Data Analyst, Sales Analytics role will be a key contributor to the Sales Strategy & Operations team. Reporting to and collaborating closely with Sr. Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, this role will be responsible for owning and defining the future roadmap for all sales data architecture, visualization, analysis & reporting, to support the sales organization. This will include projects and initiatives centered around customer data, sales metrics, QBRs and sales go-to-market planning across several key reporting platforms (Looker, Salesforce & Clari). This role will be able to serve the basic reporting needs of our sales/revenue organization, while finding opportunities to dive deeper into complex data challenges, to deliver key insights that drive decision-making.
The perfect candidate for this role takes a proactive, consultative approach to solving business problems with non-technical partners. They’re capable of distilling complex ideas and data into logical insights and recommendations, and adjust their communication based on the audience. They are able to work independently while prioritizing work, and take an iterative approach to getting the job done. Finally, they are curious and take initiative to learn new areas of the business, to be effective in their role.
What You'll Do:
Manage intake and development of sales insights and analytics requests, as well as ongoing development / automation of regular reports.
Maintain and optimize the data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
Develop processes & frameworks for repeatability in common analysis requests.
Regularly audit data outputs for anomalies and reporting errors.
Partner with business analytics, sales operations, marketing operations, and finance teams to uphold data quality standards, and evaluate new sales data sources & tooling.
Tracking, reporting, analyzing and compiling the performance of key sales metrics including pipeline, forecast, and key sales activities - to support ongoing business needs and QBRs.
Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate sales data from databases for analysis and reporting purposes.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop customized queries to support various sales and business initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales operations or sales data analytics role required
Working knowledge of the business including sales go-to-market and planning
Technical experience in B2B sales analytics & best practices, with strong hands-on experience with common B2B tools like Salesforce and Clari
Experience in common data warehousing & business intelligence tools like Google BigQuery and Looker (with proficiency in SQL), or similar experience with Tableau, PowerBI and other data intelligence tools
Experience with dbt and version control systems like git
Experience building and using agentic-prompts to automate GTM workflows
Experience in analyzing and reporting on basic sales metrics including pipeline, sales forecast and sales performance
Experience with building data models to define segments and target audiences based on available data
Ability to build trusted relationships across extended sales operations and data analytics teams, managing expectations, and producing reports/analysis in a timely manner
Communication style capable of distilling complex data into actionable insights for sales, across different audience types (executives, leadership, sales reps and sales operations)
Min. 3-5 years of work experience, ideally in sales/sales operations or supporting role for these functions
Bachelor's degree
We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
Knowledgeable in statistical programming languages such as Python or R
Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementation
Experience with AI in the context of data analysis and business intelligence
Applying AI to improve sales process, system and data analytics workflows and deliverables
Work Hours:
This position will require you to work during scheduled hours from 2 pm - 11 pm (IST)
Due to the global scope of this role, core business hours may extend to US, Europe and APJ friendly time-zones for some engagements
Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:
This position is based out of our Pune, India office.
This position does not require travel, unless specified by your manager.
