A role in Zip’s Data & AI Squad will see you partner with key stakeholders to supply fast, reliable and future proof data, powering data driven decision making on our biggest and most interesting business challenges. You will work closely with cross functional teams to optimise processes and enhance the experience millions of customers have when using Zip.
As a Senior Data Analyst I, you will play a key role in shaping how Zip measures and understands the performance of its consumer products. Sitting at the intersection of product, growth, marketing and finance, you will design and govern critical metrics, deliver meaningful insights and embed experimentation and AI enabled analytics into everyday decision making.
What you'll own
- Design and maintain robust metric governance frameworks, ensuring critical business metrics are clearly defined, verified and trusted across the organisation.
- Deliver actionable insights that influence product strategy, growth initiatives and customer lifecycle optimisation from acquisition through to engagement and retention.
- Design and evaluate experiments including A/B and multivariate testing, translating results into clear and practical business recommendations.
- Develop scalable datasets, dashboards and self service analytics solutions that empower teams to make faster, more informed decisions.
- Partner with Data Science and AI teams to operationalise models and embed predictive insights into business processes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve reporting efficiency, accelerate insight generation and increase decision velocity across the business.
What you'll bring to the team
- Proven experience working in analytics roles within digital, fintech, marketplace or high growth technology environments
- Advanced SQL capability with experience using Python or R for analytical workflows
- Experience designing and analysing experiments and applying statistical techniques to inform commercial decisions
- Experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery or dbt
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear narratives for non technical stakeholders
- Experience working with AI or machine learning models, or using generative AI tools to enhance analytical workflows
- A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
