Position Description

• Capture new and existing risk exposures and assume responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all credit related information.

• Evaluate the financial strength and creditworthiness of captive and professional reinsurance companies as well as other counterparties.

• Prepare detailed credit analysis reports and present findings to senior management.

• Maintain and update internal credit ratings and watchlists.

• Monitor and report on credit exposures, limits, and collateral arrangements.

• Track industry developments, key credit risks, emerging risks. rating agency actions, and regulatory changes affecting the portfolio.

• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and finance teams to align business strategy with sound risk management practices.

• Support collateral administration, maintain accurate collateral records, and track credit requirements.

• Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk policies and procedures.

• Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements related to reinsurance credit risk. Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;

• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the banking, insurance or financial services industry.

• Solid understanding of financial statements, credit metrics, and rating agency methodologies.

• Familiarity with global reinsurance markets and regulatory frameworks is a plus.

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with risk management systems is a plus.

• Excellent written, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000 - 120,000.
