Purpose of the role

  • Responsible for assessing, monitoring and communicating credit risk profile of Seoul Branch's GC clients to support business expansion, to make proper review & challenge as well as to support final decision making, based on internal and regulatory policies/requirements.

  • Also involved in credit related projects (audit, improvement/ enhancement of credit management, team task)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare writeups for credit applications (both new deals and existing deals) and Borrower Rating applications in a timely manner with high quality and accuracy.

  • Collect information from various sources, including customer financial statements, company accounts, borrower ratings, and sector data, to support deal assessments.

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to gather information from customers, including financial statements and company accounts.

  • Assess customer and industry risk, as well as asset evaluation and cash flow, to ensure feasibility of projection through detailed modelling and conduct regular monitoring

  • Conduct necessary review and challenge within the branch when necessary.

  • Communicate quickly and precisely with the Credit division to obtain timely credit approvals.

  • Partner with the Risk Control department to maintain stable risk management for customers.

  • Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships globally to enhance an effective working environment.

  • Work with Asian HQ departments for companies with deteriorated financial results and for product driven approach

  • Strengthen the credit management framework to maintain a sound credit portfolio.

  • Contribute to a healthy balance sheet for the branches in the region by assessing the creditworthiness of applications.

  • Modify and enhance the credit department's organization structure and functions to adapt to economic changes.

  • Provide training and study sessions for colleagues on overall credit policy, financial analysis, and credit risk-related projects.

  • Support in managing the risk profile for the department.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits.

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, and regulations.

  • Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.

  • Handle internal and external audit-related tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in credit analysis within financial institutions

  • Basic understanding on financial analysis, accounting knowledge and (credit) deal analysis of corporate banking with logical thinking capability

  • Business sense (keeping deadline, logical thinking, resilience, negotiation/presentation and collaboration/cooperation)

  • Interest in research, assessing/forecasting impact/outcome, and making deliverables/actions

  • Communication skill in English (both Listening/Speaking and Reading/Writing).

  • Competent in analysis in company, financial results and banking deal

  • Familiarity with corporate banking business
