This role is ideal for an experienced contract professional who can work independently, manage complex agreements, and help improve the way contracts move through the business.

This position serves as a primary point of accountability for MSA review and turnaround, partnering closely with Corporate Leadership, Revenue teams, and General Counsel to ensure contracts are executed accurately, efficiently, and in line with ALKU’s risk thresholds and operational needs. The Senior Contract Specialist will also support the implementation and ongoing optimization of ALKU’s contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Contract Ownership & Execution

    • Own the review, redlining, and execution of client MSAs, amendments, and renewals with minimal oversight.
    • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for MSAs across corporate and revenue teams.
    • Manage contract turnaround times to consistently meet or exceed internal SLAs, proactively flagging risks related to volume, timing, or complexity.
    • Clearly communicate contract risks, deviations from standard terms, and recommended next steps to Sales Directors, Account Managers, and Corporate Leadership.
    • Maintain accurate version control and contract records across internal systems.
    • Partner closely with General Counsel to escalate non-standard terms and ensure alignment with ALKU’s risk posture.

    Process Improvement & CLM Support

    • Review existing contract workflows end to end to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and potential SLA risks.
    • Design and implement improvements to contract intake, review, tracking, and handoff processes to support scale.
    • Support the implementation, configuration, and adoption of CLM platform, including intake workflows, templates, and reporting.
    • Partner with Corporate Leadership, Legal, and Technology teams during the CLM rollout to ensure the system reflects real-world contract volume and turnaround needs.
    • Develop and maintain contract playbooks, templates, and job aids to promote consistency and clarity.
    • Recommend workflow enhancements, automation opportunities, and system improvements to Corporate Leadership.

    Cross-Functional Partnership & Reporting

    • Partner with Revenue, Legal, and other corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the contract lifecycle.
    • Provide regular visibility into contract volume, turnaround times, risk trends, and operational observations to Leadership.
    • Contribute to broader operational initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and the overall client experience.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to independently manage complex contracts while balancing competing deadlines.
  • Strong judgment and comfort making recommendations related to contract risk and prioritization.
  • High attention to detail without losing sight of speed or business impact.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, especially with non-legal stakeholders.
  • A process-oriented mindset with the ability to create structure where little exists.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Revenue, Legal, and Corporate Leadership teams.
  • Experience working with CLM tools, workflow systems, and document version control.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, contract operations, legal operations, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing and redlining MSAs and service agreements.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced, revenue-driven organizations.
