The Opportunity
As a Senior CSI Manager, you will lead end-to-end contract operations for various customers, including providers, pharmacies, wholesalers, payers, pharmacy benefit managers, and government accounts. End-to-end contract operations responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contract setup, eligibility management, customer request resolution, and payment administration while ensuring quality, consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
In this role, you will regularly collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders and customers via meetings and strategic projects where your ability to build and maintain relationships, communicate with clarity and urgency, and deliver solutions will be essential. Expertise in navigating functions, systems and processes that support various contracting-related activities is key to success in this role, as well as the ability to embrace change, embody a continuous improvement mindset, and exhibit strong customer orientation in day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently represent CSI during the development of contracting, pricing and distribution strategies to drive operationally sustainable solutions that meet business needs
Mobilize and lead autonomous and cross-functional teams to deliver on business priorities through ambiguity and with minimal oversight
Influence internal and external stakeholders during customer disputes, contract negotiations, and strategy development
Adapt and communicate operational, strategy implementation topics to resonate with diverse audiences, ensuring clear and concise storytelling with the right level of detail across the organization
Draft, evaluate, and refine contract language for complex contract strategies, as needed
Work with systems to accurately and timely setup and maintain detailed contract information, manage contract eligibility, payments and other contract deliverables
Drive process and system enhancements to ensure they can effectively support the complexity of current and future strategies.
Develop and deliver training to stakeholders on contracting strategies implementation, contractual obligations, business procedures, system functionality, etc.
Who you are
You have a Bachelor’s degree
You have at least 6 years’ work experience in commercial functions (e.g., operations, contracting, strategy)
Proven ability to excel in a complex, customer-focused environment with tight deadlines
Demonstrated strength in building collaborative relationships and strategic problem-solving within and across teams
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and influencing skills. Ability to convey complex topics simply and clearly to diverse audiences
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Able to seamlessly flex between finest operational details and “big picture” thinking; A strategic thinker with analytical and solutions-driven mindset
Solid expertise with Google and Microsoft applications, experience with customer relationship management (CRM) solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years’ experience in commercial functions in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology, managed care, or related industry
Knowledge of market access topics and trends
Project management experience
Experience with designing, creating digital customer-facing tools, processes and accelerating digital innovation
This role is based out of and requires a presence at our South San Francisco, CA Genentech Campus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, California is $121,200/yr to $225,200/yr . Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
